Pittsburgh is America's "Most Livable City"!
City Also Recognized as one of the World's Cleanest CitiesPlaces Rated Almanac has once again ranked Pittsburgh as America's most livable city. Pittsburgh beat out San Francisco, Seattle, Washington and Boston for the bragging rights. This is the second time that the city has ranked at the top of this list. This year marks the 25th Anniversary for the almanac which ranks cities on nine factors that influence the quality of a place. These include ambiance, housing, the local economy, transportation, education, health care, crime, recreation, and climate.
The top ten cities are as follows:
1.Pittsburgh, PA
2.San Francisco, CA
3.Seattle, WA
4.Portland, OR
5.Philadelphia, PA
6.Rochester, NY
7.Washington, DC
8.San Jose-Sunnyvale, CA
9.Boston, MA
10.Madison, WI
This ranking comes on the heals of a tie for 10th place in a Forbes Magazine ranking of the world's cleanest metropolitan centers.
